John Winslow, DPT, OCS, MTC, ATC
John Winslow received a master's degree in physical therapy from Old Dominion University, VA and a clinical doctorate in orthopaedic manual therapy from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences, FL. Dr. Winslow is a licensed physical therapist (PT), orthopaedic certified specialist (OCS), certified manual therapist (MTC), and certified athletic trainer (ATC). Over his 30 + year career, Dr. Winslow has trained with some of the top manual therapists in the world. His area of expertise is in spine rehabilitation, particularly with athletes. He has published in the Journal of Orthopaedics and Sports Physical Therapy, Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Athletic Training, Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Body Work, Athletic Training & Sports Health Care, and the Journal of Physical Therapy Education. Dr. Winslow was the former director of sports medicine, physical therapy, and athletic training at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. He is the co-founder of the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program at Cayuga Medical Center where he continues to teach medical screening, musculoskeletal imaging, and HVLA thrust manipulation. Under his leadership, Cayuga Medical Center received the Outstanding Center for Physical Therapy Award from the New York/New Jersey Physical Therapy Clinical Education Consortium. In 2010 Dr. Winslow was awarded the first Louis W. Munchmeyer award for clinical excellence. Dr. Winslow has been teaching continuing education courses in manual therapy for over twenty years and is currently an Associate Professor in the physical therapy department at Ithaca College. He is the founder and president of the Society of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, an organization dedicated to training bodywork professionals in the art and science of manual therapy.
